A dedication gives your book a little piece of your voice. Keep it simple: say who the book is for, share something you love about them, and finish with your name.

Try this three-part starting point

  1. Start with their name or the nickname you use together.
  2. Add a memory, a wish, or something you want them to know.
  3. Sign off in your own words.

For a birthday

For Maya, on your birthday. May this year bring new adventures, wonderful questions, and plenty of cake. All my love, Grandma.

For an everyday adventure

For Leo, my favourite kitchen helper. Here is to messy aprons, brave first tries, and all the things we will make together. Love, Dad.

For a new chapter

For Clara, as you begin something new. You can take your time, ask for help, and try again. We are cheering for you. Love, Mum and Dad.

Make it sound like you

Use these examples as starting points, then swap in a real detail. A family phrase or a shared memory often says more than an elaborate message. Read it aloud: if it sounds like something you would say, you are close.

Give it one last read

Check names, spelling, punctuation, and any date you include. Follow the character limit shown on the product page, and make sure the sign-off is exactly how you want it printed.

Find a book for your message.
